Welcome to In a Minute
But Jesus called them to Him and said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.

The first recorded interactions between God and man were deeply personal. Adam, the first man, was formed by the Lord’s own hand. With His own breath, God gave Adam life and then set him in the midst of perfection. When the time came to create Eve, God’s hands were at work again. He made sure that they both had food, purpose, order, and above all, His presence. From the very beginning, God was with them and working for them. (Genesis 2)

God is the same today as He was at creation (Hebrews 13:8). He is no less real. He is no less active. He is no less present. Our spiritual responsibility to our children is not just to train them up in outward obedience. It’s to teach them that just as God called out to Adam in the Garden, Jesus is actively calling our children to Himself (Luke 18:16). He values them. He wants to redeem them, and He wants them to know that heaven belongs to them. He wants to be with them and work for them.

The purpose of these Bible studies is to help parents guide their children toward a positive, active relationship with the Lord. Use them as a starting point, remembering that you are their personal example of what life in Christ can be. Do you call for the presence of the Lord first when uncertainty arises? Do you model mercy and forgiveness? Are you obedient in the details? Do you walk in the same relationship that you want for your children?

Prayer For the Parents

Father, thank you for every good and perfect gift. Thank you for your wisdom and your presence to guide my choices. Search my heart first so that what I always say about you is true. Help me to remember that my children belong to you, and give me wisdom to teach them who you are. Amen.
